Rebecca Sheeran offers a gentle approach to connecting the body, mind, and spirit. She believes working with our thoughts and beliefs is essential, but not without including the body’s sensations and nervous system responses. Uncovering innate strengths and finding what is working in life is as necessary to healing as working with our struggles. Neuroscience shows that this activates brain regions involved in emotional regulation and reward processing, such as the prefrontal cortex and amygdala. Rebecca works with clients with trauma, depression, anxiety, sexual trauma, attachment issues, addiction, and personality struggles. Modalities include cognitive therapy, person-centered therapy, attachment work, somatics, evidenced-based tapping, imagery, and intergenerational work.
Rebecca has received her Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, completed her coursework in Somatic Experiencing, and trained in Mark Wollyn’s intergenerational work.
